Every contribution helps this theater with everything from computer systems to paint, lights and even the actors' shoes. We mean it when we say "Our subscribers and contributors put us on the stage!"

The generosity of our contributors enables the Generic Theater to fulfill its mission of offering innovative productions at affordable ticket prices and providing a space for local artists to apply their craft.

Today, the Generic Theater is facing the challenge of relocating the theater and remaining a dynamic artistic force in the Ghent Community and we need your help.

Our Board of Directors, staff, production teams, and performers gratefully acknowledge those who have enriched the arts in Hampton Roads.

Volunteers are always in high demand. We have positions available in House Management, Box Office and Concessions. Take an opportunity to work with our production staff by joining the set crew or assisting with costumes or gathering props. There are plenty of positions to fill, so give us a call.

All our volunteers receive complimentary admission to the show (and possibly learn a new skill or two).

So come out and have some fun. Feel free to bring a friend and plan to meet some new ones. We look forward to seeing you at the theater.
